iShares Core S&P U.S. Value ETF Announces $0.49 Quarterly Dividend, Up 9% From Previous Quarter

BlackRock has announced that the iShares Core S&P U.S. Value ETF will pay a quarterly dividend of $0.4911 per share on Friday, September 18th. Shareholders registered as of Tuesday, September 15th will receive the distribution, with the ex-dividend date also falling on September 15th. The payout represents a 9% increase from the fund's previous quarterly dividend of $0.45 and translates to an annualized dividend yield of 1.7%.

The announcement comes as value stocks have staged a significant comeback in 2026, with large value stocks outperforming large growth by more than 11 percentage points year-to-date. This market rotation has drawn increased attention to value-focused investment vehicles like IUSV, which tracks the S&P 900 Value index.

Strong Performance in Value Stock Environment

IUSV shares traded at $112.80 on Wednesday, with the fund's fifty-day moving average at $113.53 and its two-hundred-day moving average at $109.39. The ETF has recorded a 52-week trading range between $97.94 and $116.19, reflecting the broader market's volatility and subsequent recovery.

The fund's performance aligns with the broader value sector's strength this year. Comparable value-focused ETFs have posted substantial gains, with some major value funds delivering returns approaching 20% year-to-date as of early September, significantly outpacing growth-oriented counterparts.

Fund Structure and Methodology

IUSV provides exposure to U.S. value stocks by tracking the S&P 900 Value index, which combines constituents from the S&P 500 and S&P MidCap 400 indices. The benchmark measures the performance of mid- and large-cap market segments, selecting stocks based on three fundamental value factors: the ratios of book value, earnings, and sales to price. This methodology has a long-established history, with the S&P 900 Value index maintaining data records dating back to June 30, 1995.

The ETF currently holds 747 securities in its portfolio, with the top 10 holdings representing 23.1% of total assets. This diversification strategy provides investors with broad exposure to the value segment while limiting concentration risk. The fund carries a market capitalization of $27.15 billion and exhibits a price-to-earnings ratio of 20.41 with a beta of 0.83.

Recognition and Track Record

Morningstar awarded IUSV its Gold medal rating as of July 31, 2026, representing the highest level of conviction when evaluated against 1,054 Large Value Funds based on risk-adjusted total return. This recognition underscores the fund's competitive positioning within its category.

Since its launch on July 24, 2000, IUSV has accumulated over 26 years of operational history as a value investing vehicle. The fund's calendar year performance demonstrates its ability to navigate various market conditions, with returns of 25.20% in 2021, -5.40% in 2022, 21.77% in 2023, 12.22% in 2024, and 12.84% in 2025, consistently tracking its benchmark index.

BlackRock's iShares Platform Growth

IUSV operates under BlackRock's iShares franchise, which crossed $6 trillion in assets under management during the second quarter of 2026, roughly doubling its asset base over three years. BlackRock ended 2025 managing approximately $14 trillion in total assets after attracting nearly $700 billion in new client capital, with iShares ETFs cited as key drivers of this growth.

The dividend payment will be processed on September 18th for all eligible shareholders, continuing the fund's history of regular quarterly distributions to investors seeking both value exposure and income generation.
