Earnings and cash flow rise
For the quarter ended September 30, Gibson reported net income of C$77 million, an increase of C$31 million from the third quarter of 2025. Distributable cash flow rose by C$34 million to C$120 million, according to the company's November 2 results release.
FiscalAI reported quarterly earnings per share of C$0.45 and revenue of C$3.69 billion. A November 2 analysis by Best Canadian Stocks, citing Yahoo Finance consensus data, said diluted EPS exceeded the C$0.34 estimate from four analysts and increased from C$0.28 a year earlier. That analysis gave a more precise revenue figure of C$3,688.8 million, up 28% year over year.
The company's Infrastructure segment generated record adjusted EBITDA of C$177 million, a year-over-year gain of C$23 million. Gibson attributed the increase primarily to a full quarter of contributions from the Chauvin Infrastructure Assets. Marketing adjusted EBITDA reached C$35 million, up C$28 million, as elevated crack spreads supported strong refining margins.
The market-data report published by The Lincolnian Online also listed Gibson's net margin at 1.32% and return on equity at 18.23%.
Chauvin expansion targets 2028 start
Gibson sanctioned the Chauvin pipeline expansion on November 2. The project is expected to add approximately 50% to the system's capacity and enter service in the first half of 2028. The company cited strong commercial interest and growing production in the Mannville as support for the expansion.
The approval followed the October startup of Gibson's Wink-to-Gateway Integration Project. The company said that project improves connectivity and operational flexibility at its Gateway facility.
Based in Calgary, Alberta, Gibson operates liquids infrastructure across North America. Its businesses include storing, optimizing, processing and gathering liquids and refined products, as well as loading waterborne vessels. Core terminal assets are located in Hardisty and Edmonton, Alberta, and Ingleside and Wink, Texas; the company also has a facility in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
Dividends, leverage and share repurchases
The newly declared C$0.45 quarterly dividend is payable January 15, 2027, to common shareholders of record at the close of business on December 30, 2026.
Gibson reported a trailing 12-month dividend payout ratio of 82% and net debt of 3.9 times adjusted EBITDA as of the third quarter. It expects both measures to improve as the figures incorporate a full 12 months of contributions from the Chauvin acquisition.
Separately, The Lincolnian Online reported that the previous quarterly dividend of $0.45 was paid October 16 to shareholders of record that day, following a September 29 ex-dividend date. That report listed an annualized dividend of $1.80, a yield of 5.4% and a dividend payout ratio of 176.00%.
Gibson's Normal Course Issuer Bid was renewed in September for another year. The authorization permits the company to repurchase and cancel as many as 7,251,988 common shares, equivalent to 5% of its public float.
