Six towers planned on Airport Road
The development is planned for Airport Road in Mohali, within the Chandigarh Tricity region, according to GB Realty's announcement reported by ETRealty on October 24, 2026. Moneycontrol reported that the proposal includes three- and four-bedroom apartments, contemporary amenities and the possibility of a township format.
GB Realty put the investment estimate at Rs 2,400-2,500 crore, ETRealty reported. More than Rs 1,000 crore is allocated to acquiring land; the remaining investment would cover construction, development and other project costs.
The developer says it has already acquired the land. In an October 25 report by Navbharat Times, GB Realty described the Jacob & Co. co-branded project as Punjab's first branded residential development.
Reports earlier in October said names including SK Towers, The Salman Towers and Salman Khan Towers had been registered for developments. Those reports had linked Khan to a proposed high-rise project in the Chandigarh region.
Khan addresses the launch by video
An advertisement featuring Khan announced the collaboration with GB Realty and Jacob & Co. A promotional clip shared by his fan accounts on Saturday night showed the actor wearing a suit and a luxury watch while previewing the proposed residences. The watch was rumored to be worth about Rs 41 lakh.
The Times of India reported that Khan sent a video message in place of attending the launch. He said: "Due to unavoidable circumstances, I could not make it tonight, but, even though I am not physically present there, my heart, my spirit, and my best wishes are with you."
Moneycontrol attributed his absence to threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. It also reported that actor Tiger Shroff had come under fire earlier in the month and that an alleged plot targeting Khan had been thwarted by tight security.
GB Realty's wider investment plans
Founded in 2024, Punjab-based GB Realty is led by founder and managing director Gurinder Bhatti. According to Navbharat Times, the developer is concentrating on the Chandigarh-Mohali-New Chandigarh area. It plans to expand into Delhi NCR later, with Noida its preferred entry point.
Bhatti outlined plans to invest more than Rs 5,000 crore over three years and approximately Rs 10,000 crore over five years, ETRealty reported on October 24. About Rs 3,500 crore of the five-year total is earmarked for luxury and ultra-luxury residential developments.
Navbharat Times also reported that GB Realty aims to deliver four projects within three years. Its plans span premium housing, high-street commercial development, environmentally conscious townships, senior living communities, golf-linked projects and luxury resort living.
Khan's upcoming films
Khan is currently shooting Monster alongside Nayanthara. His next release is the patriotic drama Maathrubhumi, directed by Apoorva Lakhia and also starring Chitrangda Singh.
According to News18's October 7 report, Maathrubhumi was initially announced as Battle of Galwan. Inspired by the 2020 Galwan Valley clash, it features Khan as Colonel Santosh Babu. A 2026 release is planned, but no date has been set.
