Trump's Midterm Blitz Continues In Montana
President Donald Trump continued his nationwide campaign tour on Wednesday, October 14, with rallies in Montana and Arizona aimed at bolstering Republican candidates ahead of the November midterm elections.
Montana Rally for Aaron Flint
At the Majestic Valley Arena in Kalispell, Montana, Trump urged voters to support Aaron Flint, a retired lieutenant colonel and conservative talk radio host running for Montana's 1st Congressional District seat. Trump called Flint "a true American patriot" and encouraged supporters to vote as if he himself were on the ballot.
Flint, who won the Republican primary on June 2 with 52.6% of the vote, secured his position as the party nominee after defeating Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen and Al Olszewski. He entered the race following incumbent Representative Ryan Zinke's withdrawal on March 2, which included Zinke's endorsement of Flint. The race between Flint and Democratic opponent Sam Forstag has become highly competitive as Election Day approaches.
Arizona Rally for Andy Biggs
Earlier in the day, Trump rallied supporters in Bullhead City, Arizona, where he endorsed Andy Biggs for governor. Biggs, currently serving as U.S. Representative for Arizona's 5th Congressional District and former chairman of the conservative House Freedom Caucus, won the Republican gubernatorial primary on July 21 with 73.6% of the vote over Congressman David Schweikert. This election marks a historic first for Arizona, as candidates are required to nominate running mates for the newly established position of lieutenant governor.
Key Campaign Messages
During his Montana appearance, Trump emphasized gun rights, stating, "If you vote Republican, your cherished Second Amendment shall not be infringed on in any way, shape or form."
White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia, who assumed the role on October 9 after succeeding Karoline Leavitt, described the president's efforts as a "midterm blitz." Zacharia previously served as a senior communications adviser for Trump Media & Technology Group and as a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security.
The campaign tour is scheduled to continue with planned stops in Kentucky, Kansas, North Carolina, and other states as Trump works to energize Republican voters and support party candidates in key races across the country.
